2008 as a Junior... Redshirted.
2007 as a Sophomore at Iowa Western Community College... Played in 22 games as a sophomore, tallying 26 goals and 15 assists... holds school record for most goals in a season... holds IWCC record for most goals, assists and points in a career... National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) first team all-American... ICCAC first team all-Region selection... helped lead team to 2nd ranking nationally and was personally ranked 9th in the nation for goals scored.
2006 as a Freshman at Iowa Western Community College... Played 17 games as freshman, tallying 24 goals and 17 assists... holds school record for most assists in a season... National Junior College Association of America (NJCAA) second team all-American and member of all-tournament team at Nationals... NSCAA first team all-American selection... ICCAC first team all-Region selection... helped lead team to 2nd ranking nationally, and was personally ranked 10th in the nation for goals scored.
High School... Two-time second-team all-State selection at Mountain Crest... first-team all-Valley as a senior... second-team all-Valley as a junior... scored 15 goals and 10 assists as a senior... helped lead Mountain Crest to second-place finish at state tournament as a freshman... played club soccer for Valencia Soccer Club in 2005 and Extreme 87 Soccer Club from 2003-05.
Personal... Born December 8, 1987... daughter of Gary and Jane Olsen... National Honors Society member... sports medicine major... attended Mountain Crest High School and was coached by Amber Smith and Megan Thunell... club soccer coach was Dennis Gilles.

Infinity Ladies,
When I was in Utah County there was a star running back that played at BYU named Luke Staley. Luke was drafted to a professional NFL team. As a way for the community to keep in touch with Luke and learn about the struggles of making an NFL team the local newspaper asked him to write a weekly article so the general public could know what he was doing, going through and how difficult, rewarding, exhausting etc playing at the pro level was.
I have asked Kim Olsen White to do the same for you guys. She is a Cache Valley product playing at the Division1 level. I created a blog for her to enter thoughts on how her past shaped her for what she is facing now as a Division 1 athelete as well as for her to share her current happenings. I hope that not only will Kim have a record for her posterity to look at, but that you will each take the time to take a weekly look at Kim's blog and see what she is going through, read her advice and just keep informed of this Cache Valley product that dreamed big and reached her goal. This blog has been made for you.
Kim blew her kneee out and red shirted last year at the University of Iowa. Prior to that she took Iowa Western CC to two national championship tournament appearances (took 2nd both years) and has since rehabilitated her knee and has started her first spring season at Iowa. I hope you will follow along, as it is rare to have an inside view of a player at this level.
Last thing, Kim is someone special. She was told she couldn't play division 1 soccer by every team in Utah and the surrounding areas. She was a girl from a small town that fell in love with the game and would not let anyone get in her way. I would love to take credit fro her accomplishments, but she did this all on her own. Once she decided to go, there was no stopping her.
